Beauty rescued from the trash

I suppose it's the art teacher in me, so when I stumbled upon this piece of pressed cardboard in the recycling pile at my school, I had to have it! It's graphically beautiful! And it's already found a home above my cabinets. I'm already planning on using it to talk about line direction as well as pattern. I thought about painting it, but I like the natural color it is now. But who knows, I may change my mind!!
It's amazing what you can find that others just easily dispose of.
