These adorable family portraits were drawn by my 1st graders as part of our Square1 Art Fundraiser. It was such a great lesson and the success rate was so high, that I will continue it each year. For the family portraits, the kids were asked to draw everyone whom they live with and to think about what happens when shapes and lines overlap. Patterns were incorporated into the background to pull it all together. Such natural artists, the little ones are! My lesson was borrowed from the incredible Mrs. Knight's Smartest Artists!
These are so Vibrant and Wonderful! And each completely unique. I love to see how kids represent their families.
