1st grade Mitten Match

This fun project began with stamping! We used found objects like marker lids and pieces of cardboard and even some Q-tips to make the snowflakes on 15x18 paper. The next week, we talked about symmetry and created two matching mittens using sharpie and crayons or oil pastels. Click here for a link to a variation on the same theme I completed a couple of years ago. Next year, I plan on using colored paper for the mittens with construction paper crayons for a richer look.
