2nd Grade Wolf Kahn Landscapes
My second grade artists created these mixed media pieces inspired by the American landscape artist, Wolf Kahn. The project incorporates chalk pastels, oil pastels, watercolors and construction paper. They learned where foreground, middle ground and background are located. We also talked about the idea of diminishing size as objects move back in space. This is a very complex idea for children of this age! I really love the expressive use of color in their landscapes! Yay for 2nd grade!!
