2nd grade Colorful Reliefs
Look out---these sculptures are amazing! My 2nd grade students recently completed their sculptures using paper tubes and a lot of imagination. It took one week to build and two weeks to add the paint (we used acrylics). Day one I made sure to give out the primary colors plus black and white to encourage color mixing. The following week, I gave out primaries and secondaries. I love how differently each student approached his/her sculpture. The variety is excellent! We've received a lot of "ooooohs and aaaaaahs" already!

These look great! I wish storage was easier for stuff like this. I always feel rushed to finish them because they take up so much space, and that's a shame because they are so fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Hope. I agree, the space issue is a huge pain! I literally have felt buried in my room the past few weeks. I am glad to see the work start to filter out now, but it is also bittersweet.
